Ready to Discover Superb Kansas Wines that will Surprise You?

You may be surprised to learn that winemaking in Kansas is not a new endeavor. It arrived with the early European settlers and by the late 19th century there were several successful wineries in our state. However, with the arrival of Prohibition and destruction of vineyards, much of the industry’s prospects and momentum ended. Since passage of the Farm Winery Act of 1983 in Kansas, there has been a revival in the region after decades of continued prohibition. Though Kansas wine does not have the instant name recognition as those from the Napa Valley region in California, it is no less flavorful, textured, and unique.
